Your right to strike is under attack.
The UK Government plans to extend yet more anti-trade union legislation to teachers and has opened a consultation.
The extension of the Strikes (Minimum Service Levels) Act 2023 to the education sector will mean that when teachers democratically vote to strike, they could be forced to work and sacked if they don’t.
That is wrong, unworkable and almost certainly unlawful.
This new law is a direct attack on working people’s fundamental right to strike to defend their pay, terms and conditions.
