NASUWT and other trade unions are having their mechanism for funding the release of local officers attacked by Birmingham City Council.
The budget for facility time for all Birmingham schools, academies and free schools is administered by Birmingham City Council currently.
The council has stated that they will no longer fully administer this.
No consultation has taken place on this change and this will dramatically affect the ability of lay activists in education unions to support their members.
